In the village of Sao Marcos da Serra you will find all your must-have amenties such as grocery shop, butcher, bank, post office, medical centre, pharmacy, restaurants, cafes, petrol station and train station.

If you enjoy the countryside, explore the surrounding hills either by car or take a walk along many of the public footpaths.

Slightly further afield (only a 30 minute drive away) you'll find the town of Silves with its old Morrish castle. The picturesque town of Monchique is 45 minutes drive through some stunningly beautiful and scenic countryside.

Casa de Rama makes a great base for any Algarve holiday. For the sun-and-sand-seekers, the best of the Algarve's beaches in Guia and Albufeira are only half an hour away. Huge stretches of gorgeous, sandy beaches as far as the eye can see.
